San Diego natives listen up! There’s a new sauce in town & it’s bitchin’, saucy & wildy addictive!
My favorite foodie cousin, Taj, told me about this stuff that she’d picked up at The North Park Farmers’ Market a few weeks ago. So, when I went to pick up my Suzie’s Farm share yesterday, I made it a point to seek these guys out!
Bitchin’ Sauce is a vegan, gluten-free, almond-based, savory sauce that is rich in nutrients & packed with flavor. Its smooth & creamy consistency makes it perfect for dipping vegetables & chips, spreading on sandwiches or wraps, or smothering over your favorite savory foods. Bitchin’ & saucy… . Get it in ya!
Created by a local brother & sister team, Bitchin Sauce offers three flavors “Original,” “Pesto,” & “Spicy Chipotle” & they are all equally AMAZING! So savory, rich & creamy – you’d never know these are vegan & gluten-free! In fact, they use almonds as the base, & then doctor it up with someBragg’s Liquid Aminos, grapeseed oil, lemon, raw garlic & nutritional yeast, all of which boast a lot of health benefits! Ryan said the ingredients in Bitchin’ Sauce are alkaline-forming, which means they help alkalize the body’s pH, making it less acidic to boot! BRILLIANT!
I loved all three flavors, but was really torn between the original & the chipotle. In the end got the original & then picked up some baby carrots & flaxseed chips for snacking.
And I can’t wait to take Ryan’s advice & try this…
Ryan’s Recipe Suggestion: “The Bitchin’ Bowl” – slather the sauce over warm brown rice or quinoa & black beans. Then top it with avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, & jalapenos. Enjoy!
“Mmm…bitchin’,” for sure!
